John M. Aman, 79, Kaukauna, WI, died unexpectedly May 4, 2011. He was born June 17, 1931, in Holmes Township, MI, son of the late Mike and Anna (Mathias) Aman. John married Sharon Arnold Oct. 25, 1958, in Powers, One of his greatest joys was attending his grandchildren's sporting and musical events. He also enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Michigan with his family. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and relaxing by the camp fire with his family. During his younger years, he was an outstanding first baseman and signed with the Boston Red Sox Minor League. John served in the Korean War from 1948 to 1952. He was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post No. 258, of Little Chute. He was the president of the Kaukauna Credit Union for 23 years and retired in 1993. John was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 40 years and served as treasurer for many years.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Vicki Aman (special friend, Paul Reese), and Jan (Jim) Hietpas; two sons, Paul (Paula) Aman and Gary (Patty) Aman; six grand children; two brothers, Bill Aman, Michael (Margie) Aman; three sisters, Genevieve Mueller, Lorraine (Miron) Drum and Betty (Robert) Klitzke; an uncle, Vincent Aman; five broth ers-in-law, Glenn Arnold, Edward (Yvonne) Arnold, Douglas (Dorothy) Arnold, Phillip (Janie) Arnold and Robert (June) Arnold; three sisters-in-law, Joan (William) Daniels, Mary (Tony) Larsen and Eunice Arnold, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Edward Mueller; and Sharon's parents (Ida and William Arnold); brothers and sisters-in-law, Orville Arnold, Bill and Donna Arnold, Joe Arnold, Verna and Bill Nelsen, Betty and Howard Lacosse.

Memorial service was held May 7 at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, Little Chute, with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. A memorial has been established. Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, served the family.

Gerard (Jerry) Broeders, 61, Lutz, FL, formerly or Foster City, died April 27, 2011, due to an illness.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; a son, Gerard, Jr., Stafford, VA; and a daughter, Threasa Broeders, Norway; two step-children, Erica and Kevin Brogna, Tampa, FL, three grandchildren; his mother, Betty Broeders, Hermansville; two sisters, Anna Dugree, Hermansville, and Catherine Boutch, Woodland, TX; eight broth ers, Larry Broeders, Citrus Springs, FL, William Broeders, Iron Mountain, Jeffrey Broeders, Menominee, Francis Broeders, Hardwood, MI, James Broeders, Sagola, MI, Raymond Broeders, Norway, Daniel Broeders, Hermansville, Anthony Broeders, Katy, TX, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Burial will be from St. Paul's Church, Lutz, May 21.

Pauline Elizabeth Christophersen, 87, formerly of Menominee, died May 5, 2011, at the Menominee Care Center.

She was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Wagner, WI, to the later Albert and Katherine (Sebero) DeLaet. On Sept. 13, 1941, she married Warren Christophersen. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1987. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Pauline loved entertaining her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her home.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lois Owens, Menominee, Darleen (Myron) Michalski, Marinette, and Linda (Alan) Gritzon, Menominee; one son, Paul (Julie Peters), Christophersen, Marinette, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Waltruad Christophersen; two sisters, Katherine (Marvin) Wagner and Tina Wieting. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene David and Warren Roger Christophersen; one grandson, Bart Gritzon; seven sisters and seven brothers.

Family and friends called at Anderson Kell Funeral Home. Funeral services were held there May 10 with Rev. Ken Michaelis officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Devin D. DeGrave, 18, Carney, died unexpectedly, May 4, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident.

Devin and his twin brother, Dustin, were born April 2, 1993, in Green Bay, sons, of Doug and Debra (Bottomley) DeGrave. He was raised in Chattanooga, TN, and attended school there until the eighth grade. In 2008, the DeGrave family moved to Gourley Township and he attended Bark River-Harris High School. He loved to be with his family and friends. Devin was active in high school participating in football, basketball, track, tennis, and he also played baseball for the Escanaba Cubs. He also enjoyed downhill skiing, horseback riding and training horses. Devin was in the National Honor Society and was already enrolled in college courses at Bay de Noc Community College. Devin helped his dad on the family maple farm. He was a member of the Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Church, Wilson.

He is survived by his parents of Carney; two brothers, Daron and twin brother, Dustin, Carney; sister, Dixie DeGrave, Carney; paternal grandmother, Theresa DeGrave, Wilson; maternal grandparents, Dr. Dan and Florence Bottomley, Greenville, TN, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation took place at the Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Church, where funeral service was held May 9, with Pastor George Dronen officiating. Burial was in the Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Church Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Patricia J. Jenkins, 81, Menominee, died May 8, 2011, at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.

She was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Menominee, to the late Louis and Edna (Williams) Grabowski. Pat married Raymond Jenkins May 22, 1948. He preceded her in death May 11, 2007. She worked at Mrs. Karl's Bakery in Menominee for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She then went on to work at the VFW where she was an Auxiliary member for over 30 years. Pat was also a member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee.

She is survived by one son, Michael Jenkins (Kathy Adamson), Kenosha, WI; three daughters, Linda Jenkins, Fresno, CA, Jilaine Jenkins (Jeff Alanen), Ishpeming, and Jana Jenkins, Menominee, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene (Richard) Neely and Janet (Les) Neilio; and one brother, Donald (Patricia) Grabowski all of Menominee. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Grabowski.

Prayer services were held at the Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home May 10. Deacon Vincent Beckley officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.

Scott P. Kleiman, 29, Hermansville, died, unexpectedly at his home May 5, 2011.

He was born July 14, 1981, in Marquette, the son of Paul and Edith (Veldman) Kleiman). Scott was raised in Wilson and graduated from North Central Area School in 2000. He loved being with his daughter, Michelle Elizabeth, and enjoyed working on cars. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church.

He is survived by his parents of Powers; his daughter of Powers; sister, Heidi Marie Kleiman, North Carolina; significant other, Heather Schetter; paternal grandmother, Rose Kleiman, Wilson; two nieces, a nephew, aunts and uncles.

Visitation and funeral were held May 10 at St. John Neumann Church, Spalding, with Rev. Mike Vichich officiating. The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
