Mary Ann Saxton, 88, Stephenson, died Sept. 28, 2011, at home.

Mary Ann was born April 23, 1923, in Harris, MI, to the late Marion and Olga (Ouradnik) Lasonski. On Dec. 4, 1964, Mary Ann married Don Saxton in Powers. Mary Ann worked as a waitress and cook at many restaurants including the 41 Cafe, Macco's Restaurant in Escanaba and The Tasty Freeze in Powers. Mary Ann loved dancing and throwing parties. Spending time with her children and grandchildren is what she enjoyed most.

Survivors include her three children, Wanda Johnson, Stephenson, Roger (Priscilla) Schuette, Hermansville and Louis (Anna) Schuette, Menominee, eight grand children, several great-and great-great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Don and a son, Steven.

Family and friends may call at the Stephenson United Methodist Church Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Reverend Jim Mathews will officiate, Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gary Lee Savord, 70, Hermansville, died July 25, 2011, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers.

He was born Dec. 11, 1940, to the late William and Rose (Fabry) Savord in Hermansville. Gary had worked at the fox farm in Hermansville and then the Construction Laborers Union 1329 and worked in the construction field for over 30 years before his retirement. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Gary also enjoyed cooking, going for rides and collecting things.

He is survived by his two children, Debra (Norm) Royston, Escanaba, and Steve Savord, De Pere, WI; one brother, Lawrence (Martha) Savord, Hermansville; two sisters, Betty (Roger) Whitens, Hermansville, and Rose (Brian) Cowles, Battle Creek, MI, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Wesley and Howard Savord.

A private burial service will he held at a later date in the Meyer Township Cemetery. The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the family. Visit www.allofh.com to send on-line condolences to the family.

Cecelia S. Kutz, 97, died July 25, 2011, at Mimosa Springs Nursing Home under hospice care in Scottsdale, AZ.

She was born Aug. 11, 1913, in Chicago, to the late Michael and Mary (Bistrovski) Zurawski. On Oct. 26, 1935, she married Joseph Kutz, Sr. They owned and operated a farm for many years in Peshtigo. After they retired and sold the farm, they moved to Menominee. Her husband died April 11, 1981.

Cecelia is survived by three sons, Joseph, Jr., Patterson, NY, Robert (Irene), Mesa, AZ and James, Marshall, WI; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Carole), Menominee; two sisters, Mary Tenarvitz, Menominee and Helen Christopherson, Wallace; sisters-in-law, Kate Zuraski, Menominee and Emma Zuraski, Menominee, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and Frank; sisters, Katie Krok and Ann Daves; brothers-in-law, Chester Krok, Ray Tenarvitz, Russell Christopherson and Hoyle Daves.

Betty Jane Anderson, 82, Menominee, died July 28, 2011, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.

She was born March 5, 1929, to the late Harry and Bertha (Schauer) Morris. Betty enjoyed sewing, cake decorating and bowling in her earlier years. Betty was active in the Protestant Women of the Chapel on several United States Army bases. Prior to moving to Menominee, she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Oscoda, MI, where she served on the church council and committees. She was also a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Marinette.

Betty is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Francis (Andy) Anderson; two sons, Larry (Sharis) Pike, Lake Mary, FL and Rob (Julie) Anderson, Turner, MI; two daughters, Cindy (Joel) Hanner, Marinette and Deb (Rod) Weaver, Pelzer, SC; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Jane) Morris and Ronald (Pam) Morris; and her step-sister, Linda (Will) Egner. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Funeral services were held July 31, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kenneth Michaelis officiated. Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette, handled arrangements. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, MI. Memorials may be made in memory of Betty Anderson to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, "Handicapped Bathroom Fund," 1600 University Drive, Marinette, WI 54143.
