Helen Marian Adams, 90, Stephenson, died Nov. 16, 2010, in Stephenson.

Helen was born Sept. 26, 1920, to the late Edward and Althea (Swanson) Anderson in Menominee County. She at tended area schools. She met and married Donald Edward Lynch. He preceded her in death while in active duty during WWII. She the mar ried George Adams Oct. 27, 1945, in Stephenson. He preceded her in death June 12, 1993. Helen was a homemaker and an active member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, RSVP, AARP and Golden Ages.

She is survived by one son, Jerry (Judy) Lynch; and one daughter, Connie (Robert) Alwardt both of Stephenson, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her hus bands, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry; brothers, Clyde, Edwin and Carmen; and sisters, Myrtle and Alice.

Visitation and funeral ser vice were held Nov. 18 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Stephenson. Reverend Jonathan Schmidt offici ated. Burial was in Stephenson Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, assisted the family.

Florence C. Bayee, 97, Stephenson, died Nov. 22, 2010, at Roual Care and Rehab Center, Stephenson.

Florence Faubert was born July 30, 1913, in Detroit, MI, to the late Moses and Bridget (Quigley) Faubert. She worked for General Motors - Cadillac Division - for 18 years, retiring in 1973. She married Joseph Bayee Aug. 18, 1973, in Detroit. He preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1995. Florence was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Florence is survived by nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Hazel Bayee, Stephenson. She was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.

Visitation: Memorial Room at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Nov. 24, 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Corey Litzner officiating; burial following in Stephenson Township Cemetery. Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Robert L. Borie, 86, Wallace, died Nov. 16, 2010, at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.

Robert was born Dec. 22, 1923, in New York, NY, to the late Anderson Jacob and Ida Elizabeth (Lane) Borie. He served in the armed forces during WWII. On Feb. 10, 1947, he married Phyllis Horton in Santa Barbara, CA. He worked as a display specialist at the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum in Port Hueneme, CA, until his re tirement. He was a collector of trains, guns, books, coins, model cars and toy soldiers. He enjoyed reading and history and was a Civil War enthusiast. While living in the Trinity Alps in California he enjoyed the outdoors and watching the animals. He was a friend of the Country Bible Church, Wallace.

He is survived by his wife of Wallace; five children, Kathy (David) Lake, Diane (Steve) Gahm, Andrew (Sally) Borie, Patty (Randy) Nichols, and Bonnie (Dave) Newton, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Military rites and funeral service were held Nov. 21, at Country Bible Church, Wallace. Reverend David Buckley officiated. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, assisted the family with arrangements.

Marcy A. (Minsloff) Jurmu, 63, Escanaba, died Nov. 15, 2010.

She was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Marinette, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Nelson) Minsloff. Marcy graduated from Marinette High School in 1965 and then attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a bachelor of science degree in Upper Elementary Education. She taught in Minneapolis and later taught in Webster, WI, Stephenson and Menominee, before begin ning her tenur with the Escanaba Public Schools un til her retirement.

She is survived by her son, Michael Jurmu, De Pere; daughter, Emily Jurmu, Tempe, AZ, two grandchil dren; brother, Michael Minsloff, De Pere; sisters, Mary (Tom) Rueth, Jefferson, WI; and Meg Minsloff (Dan Bowman), Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation was held Nov. 18 at Anderson Funeral Home, Escanaba. Funeral service was held at Bethany Lutheran Church with Rev. Judy Kincaid officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Amherst, WI. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net

Linda S. Keshick, 68, W588 Balsam Lane, Wilson, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack Nov. 3, 2010, while visiting family in North Carolina.

She was born Oct. 22, 1942, in Cameron, NC, daughter to Lexie and Helen (Carter) Smith. Linda at tended Benhaven School in Olivia, NC. On Dec. 17, 1966, she married Peter H. Keshick in North Carolina. Linda and Peter relocated to Hannahville 26 years ago and she received her diploma from Bark River-Harris School. She was employed as a secretary for Hannahville School. She was a member of Hannahville American Legion Post 116 Auxiliary and Hannahville Homemakers. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Survivors include her hus band of Hannahville; daughters, Lisa Keshick, Wilson, and Carmen Keshick, Hannahville; three sons, Peter (Lori) Keshick, Hannahville, Anthony (Rosetta) Keshick, Wilson, Lexie (Jennifer) Keshick, Hannahville, 21 grandchildren and eight great-grand children; brother, John Smith, North Carolina; and two sisters, Faye Smith, and Kaye (Terry) Hall, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank Medlin; and two brothers, Bill and Ray.

Visitation and funeral were held Nov. 8 and 9 at the Hannahville Community Center. Funeral was officiated by Pastor Jim Cousineau. Burial was in the Hannahville Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the Keshick family with arrangements.

Caroline Marcin, 87, died Nov. 19, 2010, at home.

She was born June 16, 1923, to the late Edwin and Lucille (Behrendt) Soults in Menominee. She married Jerome Z. Marcin. He preceded her in death in 1988. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar River. She especially loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Roger) Marcin-Larson; one grand daughter, one step-grand son, one great-granddaugh ter, nieces, nephews; a brother, Edwin Soults, Jr.; and three sisters, Lorraine Seefeld, Lucille Q. Braley, and Florence DeReader. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Rasner.

Friends called at Holy Redeemer Church Nov. 23 where funeral Mass was held, with Rev. Corey Litzner officiating. Burial was in Cedar River Cemetery. Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family.

Dorothy M. Marks, 76, Cedar River, died, Nov. 19, 2010, at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.

Dorothy Davis was born Aug. 3, 1934, Flint, MI, to the late Harold and Elsie (Foley) Marks. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in education and taught English and history for many years. Dorothy enjoyed farm life, her cats, reading and history. Her greatest joy was her grand daughters Michaela and Katherine. She was a mem ber of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Ken (Kyna) Marks, Cedar River and two granddaughters; and former husband, Kenneth A. (Mary) Marks.

Visitation was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 23 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Father Corey Litzner officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
 
Eldred Rose PDF Print E-mail
Eldred A. (Putch) Rose, 76, Menominee, died of cancer Nov. 20, 2010, at home.

Putch was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Marinette, to Ordel and Eldred Rose, Marinette. At 16 years of age, he quit school at joined the National Guard. After his age was discovered, it would be more than another year before he would be able to join the Navy. He finished school through correspon dence. Putch served as a Hot Shellman in the United States Navy. On Sept. 19, 1959, he married Sandra Saunders of Menominee. He worked for the City of Menominee for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife; son, Jeffory, Menominee; daughter-in-law, Teresa (Tess), Rose, two grandchil dren and an aunt. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann.

Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home, Marinette, where funeral service was held Nov. 23. The Rev. Louis Hague officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.

Mary A. Streeter, 89, life long resident of Menominee, died Nov. 20, 2010, at the Menominee Care Center.

She was born April 7, 1921, to the late George and Marion (Parker) Everson in Menominee. She married Frank Streeter July 31, 1943, in Alpena, MI. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Menominee and the Hospital Auxiliary. Mary worked for Fish Net & Twine in Menominee for many years. She cherished the time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Streeter and Ed (Nancy) Streeter both of Menominee; two daughters, Cathy Johson, Menominee, and Mary (Jim) Lappin, Denver, CO, nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Erickson; and a brother, Edward Everson.

Friends called at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home. A fu neral Mass was held at Holy Spirit Church Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Chenier officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
