Robert Joseph Bourgeois, 74, lifelong resident of West Drive in Menominee, died Jan. 21, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center follow ing a lengthy illness.

He was born May 8, 1935, to the late William and Frances (Ritz) Bourgeois. He graduated from Menominee High School in 1953. On Oct. 2, 1954, he married Jean Clermont in Menominee. Bob worked at Scott Paper Company for 40 years, retiring from there March 1, 1994. He also owned and operated Bob's Steam Extraction. After retirement he worked for Gustman Automotive. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and a former member of the Optimist Club.

He enjoyed his family and time he spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending old car shows, meeting his friends for coffee, cooking and taking trips to the casino with his wife.

He is survived by his wife; children, Lori (Dan) Wellner, Mark (Robyn) Bourgeois, Brian (Cheryl) Bourgeois, and Kim (Fran) Kewley, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Eleanor) Bourgeois, Cedarburg, WI; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Robert Pearce, Pat (Dick) Galbo, Julie (Eldred) Swanson, Art (Maryann) Clermont and Nancy Clermont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Bourgeois; sister, Shirley Pearce; infant son, Gary; and grandson, Cade Posephny.

Friends called at the Lemieux-Thielen Funeral Home. Funeral was held at Holy Spirit Church the Rev. Ronald Skufca officiated.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Aaron Buckley, 84, Orlando, FL, and formerly of Menominee, died Jan. 16, 2010, in Orlando.

He was born May 10, 1925, in Franklin County, TN, to Mr. an Mrs. A. J. Buckley.
In 1926, his family moved to Chicago, and in 1930, they moved to Menominee. He was a graduate of Menominee High School and served for four years in the United States Marine Corps during WWII with the Raiders of the 3rd Marine Division in the Pacific Theatre. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He entered the field of computer technology in its early stages and worked for contractors providing computer services to the United States space program in Florida. He later operated his own construction company until his retirement.

He is survived by two children, Cathi Buckley and Ronald Buckley, both of Orlando, one granddaughter; two sisters, Nora Salewsky, Wallace, and Erma Kushman, Peshtigo, WI, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vernice; three brothers, Arnold, David and his twin, Maron Buckley; and two sisters, Ida Kieffer and Ada Rummage.

A celebration of Life service will be held in Florida at a later date.

Hector A. McKinnon, Sr., 71, Menominee, died Jan. 22, 2010, after a battle with cancer, at the Menominee Care Center.

He was born March 8, 1938, in Spruce, MI, to the late Laughlin and Grace (Evans) McKinnon.
He worked for General Motors for many years. He married Suzanne Sielski Aug. 18, 1993, in Bay City, MI.

Funeral services will be held at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home, Menominee, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. Friends may gather just prior to the services. Pastor Louis Hague will officiate.
A memorial fund has been established in Hector's name for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, 4061 Old Peshtigo Road, Marinette, WI  54143.

Elizabeth Ann Majkrzak, 75, Stephenson, died Jan. 26, 2010, at Menominee Care Center.

Elizabeth Blom was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Stephenson to the late Victor and Esther Blom. On Feb. 7, 1953, she married Michael Majkrzak in Stephenson. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1995.
Elizabeth drove school bus for Stephenson Area Public School for many years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Stephenson.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Ron) Fehrenbach, Menominee; one son, Michael (Linda) Majkrzak, Menominee; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ingrid Busch and Charlotte Driver; two brothers, Ingvar Blom and Raymond Blom; three half sisters, Maxine, Susie and Kathy Blom; brother-in-law Joseph Majkrzak; sisters-in-law, Angie (Ervin) Hood and Dorothy Duda, nieces and nephews.
She was further preceded in death by one brother, Victor Blom.

Family and friends may call Jan. 28 at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until time of prayer service at 7 p.m. and again Jan. 29 from 9 until 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Jan. 29 at Precious Blood Church. Father Corey Litzner will officiate. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery.

Lucille M. Pilon, 88, Marinette, died, Jan. 18, 2010, in Green Bay.

She was born Jan. 9, 1922, to the late Paul and Ethel (Johnson) Langer in Marinette.
She graduated from Marinette High School in 1941. She married George Heimbuch, Sr. Nov. 29, 1941, and was married for 37 years. She married Jim Bergey Sept. 26, 1986. She later married Gilbert Pilon. She had worked at Micky Lu's, Tulppo Restaurant, JCPenney's, H&R Block, and Lucy's Tax Service. She enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and bowling.

She is survived by four sons, George Jr. (Irene) Heimbuch, Marinette, Charles Heimbuch, Menominee, John (Kathy) Heimbuch, Marinette, and Carl Heimbuch, Menominee; two daughters, LuAnn (Mark) Finco, Sobieski, and Lisa (Floyd) Boulet, Tomball, TX; a son-in-law, Ron Anderson, Glendale Heights, IL; four sisters, Ethel Hannot, Marinette, Lorraine Sorenson, Iron Mountain, Margaret Christianson, and Paula Englund, both of Menominee, 12 grandchil dren and many great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Anderson; three brothers, Bob, William, and George; and a sister, Elaine Lesperance.

Friends called at the Thielen Funeral Home, Marinette, where funeral services were held  Jan. 22. Deacon Vince Beckley officiated.

Clarence L. Poupore, 77, Spalding, died Jan. 19, 2010, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers.

He was born May 22, 1932, to the late Leon and Florida (Nault) Poupore in Spalding.
On June 25, 1955, he married Janet Wentland. She preceded him in death.
Sonny loved spending time inthe outdoors, especially being at camp, hunting deer and partridge and tinkering on engines in his garage.

He is survived by his three sons, Greg (Marlyn), Lynn and Kim (Karyn) Poupore; two sisters, Lenore (Bob) White, and Mary Bell Sharkey, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; four brothers, Ervin, Willard, Clifford and Joseph; and four sisters, Irene, Bernice, Beatrice and Esther.

Friends called at Allo Funeral Home, Spalding, where funeral service was held Jan. 22. Father Emmett Norden officiated.
Burial will take place in the Spalding Township Cemetery in the spring.

Gertrude M. Evrard Salp, 96, died, Jan. 13, 2010, at The Milwaukee Catholic Home, Milwaukee.

She was born Feb. 26, 1913, in Daggett. She was a descendent of the John Dunham Family, early settlers to the area. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Emma Dunham. On Oct. 8, 1932, she married Frank J. Salp, at St. Frederick's Church in Daggett. He preceded her in death Feb. 11, 2004. She was a resident of Stephenson for most of her life.

Gert was actively involved in the community and The Precious Blood Catholic Church where she was choir director and organist for many years, retiring from this position at age 87.

She is survived by three children, Margaret Woodruff (James), Richland, MI, Thomas Salp (Becky), Suffolk, VA, James (Karen), Cedarburg, WI, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Private services were held Jan. 16, in The Chapel at The Milwaukee Catholic Home. Interment will be in the Stephenson Township Cemetery  in the spring.

James Harry Strazzinski, 68, Menominee, died Jan. 23, 2010, at Menominee Care Center, Menominee.

Jim was born Nov. 23, 1941, in Stephenson, to the late John and Mary (Cisco) Strazzinski. He worked at Marinette Marine as a welder for 13 years. He worked also as a logger and woods worker.

He is survived by one daughter, Laurie Nicklaus; two sons, Jim Jr. and Tom Strazzinski, several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother, Phillip Strazzinski; and one sister, Veronica Strazzinski, nieces and nephews, close friends Pete and Linda Winkler.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles.

Visitation will be Jan. 29 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, from 5 p.m. until funeral service time at 6 p.m., with Pastor Peter Winkler officiating.
Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, Daggett.
