Cindy Ann Bregovits, 53, Menominee, died March 29, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.

Cindy was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Menominee, to the late John and Darlene (Thygesen) Bregovits.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee. She worked as a waitress at Big Boy and Emerson Electric. Cindy enjoyed dancing, music and her animals. She especially loved spending time with her daughter, Paige and granddaughter, Lacy.

She is survived by her daughter, Paige, granddaughter, Lacy, both of Green Bay;  one sister, Linda Sieman, Menominee; special friend, Robert Smith, Menominee.
Along with her parents, a brother, Benny preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home March 31, at 6 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of services. Rev. Douglas Schoen will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
A memorial fund has been established in Cindy's name.

David R. Machin, 53, Menominee, died March 25, 2010, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.

David is the husband of Cheryl Machin; father of Martyn (Sara) Machin, Nathaniel Mongosa and Cara Mongosa; son of Ronald and Edna Machin and son-in-law of Herman and Shirley Gross.

Visitation will be held April 1, at Zion Lutheran Church, Peshtigo, from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.
Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Richard Edward Powers, 70, Daggett, died March 16, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center.

Richard was born March 23, 1939, in Imlay City, MI, to the late Harry and Sophia (Speck) Powers. Richard worked as a barber and also a logger for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making maple syrup.

Survivors include two brothers, Reggie, Imlay City and Bernard, Lapeer, MI; six sisters, Margie Lariman, Zephyr Hills, FL, Lillian Hanner, Zephyr Hills, Patty Jackson, Tallahassee, FL, Martha Morey, Zephyr Hills, Doris Demain, Niles, MI and Sally McClarin, Capac, MI; friends Don and Lila Pokovich, Daggett.
Richard was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Worthy.

In keeping with Richard's wishes no funeral services will be held. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nichole Marie (Cody) Strange, 27, Wallace, died March 27, 2010, as a result of an ATV accident in Menominee County.

Cody was born Dec. 2, 1982, in Marinette, to Kevin and Ramona (Herscha) Strange. She graduated from Stephenson High School in 2001, where she was active in school sports. She played in the local softball leagues, and in Gus Macker Basketball. She continued her education at NWTC pursing a career in nursing. She presently was employed at Shopko, Marinette. She loved the outdoors and being with people. Her life re volved around her godchild Maddie, and soon to be step-son Jaeden, and her world changed three weeks ago with the birth of her son Ethan.

She is survived by her fiancé, Joshua Albert and his son Jaeden, Wallace; infant son, Ethan Joshua, parents, Ramona (Dennis) Wojciehowski, Porterfield, and Kevin (Paula Thomsen) Strange, Wallace; one sister, Melissa Vista, Marinette; two step-sisters, Erica (Dylan) DeTemple and Tina Wojciehowski, both of Crivitz; maternal grandmother, Rosia Herscha, Marinette, and paternal grandfather, Clayton (Janet) Strange, Wallace; one niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Nikolaus Herscha; grandmother, Mary Strange; and an aunt, Renee Strange. 

Visitation: March 31, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Precious Blood Church, Stephenson, at 11 a.m. Father Corey Litzner officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette.

Reverend Father Milton H. Vanitvelt PDF Print E-mail
The Reverend Father Milton H. Vanitvelt, 86, 1524 7th Street, Menominee, died March 22, 2010, at Rennes Health Center West, Peshtigo.

Father Van was born March 26, 1923, in Iron Mountain, to the late Harvey and Emelie (Mayotte) Vanitvelt.
He was ordained June 4, 1949, at St. Peter Cathedral, in Marquette. His home parish was St. Mary and Joseph at Iron Mountain. His ministries were assistant pastor at St. Ignatius in St. Ignace, Holy Trinity in Ironwood, St. Sebastian in Bessmer, St. Patrick and St. Joseph (Resurrection) in Hancock, St. Gregory in Newberry and St. Anne on Mackinac Island. He then began his pastoral duties at Holy Trinity (Holy Redeemer) in Birch Creek, Epiphany (Holy Spirit) in Menominee and St. Pius X in Ishpeming. In July 1993, he retired due to health reasons. Father Van served as Dean in Menominee; Diocesan Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus. He built an outdoor shrine at St. Anne on Mackinac Island. On June 6, 2009, Father Milton Vanitvelt celebrated 60 years in the priesthood.

Father is survived by two cousins, Janice Vanitvelt, Menominee, and Avis Gill, New Auburn, WI, cousins, friends, Priests and Religious.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Winnifred Vanitvelt Hillock and Marguerite Vanitvelt Anderson.

Receiving of the body took place followed by visitation at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee.
On March 26 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church the Mass of Christian Burial was held with The Most Reverend Alexander K. Sample, Bishop of the Diocese of Marquette officiating, assisted by Reverend Father Rick Courier and Reverend Father Ron Skufca and other priests of the Diocese of Marquette.

Burial was in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
Anderson Kell Funeral Home handled arrangements.
