Richard Hummel Shovel

County residents went from raking yards and pruning their apple trees April 13 to shoveling wet heavy snow the next day. Rain started Sunday evening and turned to snow after midnight before stopping about 9:30 a.m. Monday. The April storm dropped about three inches of the white stuff. A roll of snow formed on the shovel of Stephenson resident Richard Hummel as he cleared his driveway Monday morning. Hummel decided to use a shovel because the snow was too wet to snow blow.
